Goa 2023

Goa 2023

Goa is the most popular tourist destination in India. Whether you're a teenager who wants to celebrate their schoolies at a beach or party at clubs, a newly married couple looking for resorts to spend your honeymoon, a group of friends looking for a place full of bars and restaurants or just looking for a weekend getaway, Goa is the place to be. Or at least that is what people say.

Melbourne 2024

Melbourne 2024

At the time of writing this blog, I am on my way back home from my third trip to Melbourne. For someone with the curiosity of a 5-yr old and an appetite for traveling, I would like to think that I am starting to exhaust the list of things I can do in Melbourne. But, the reality is that I am still only scratching the surface! With every trip, I have an increasing appreciation of how much this city has to offer. P.S: This respect (from a true Sydneysider) shouldn't be mistaken - Sydney is home and arguably better 😁

Hunter Valley 2023

Hunter Valley 2023

The Hunter Valley is the birthplace of Australian wines. It is Australia's oldest wine region. It is popular for its Shiraz and Semillon and no amount of time is enough to taste all the wonderful produce that comes out of its 150+ wineries. For that reason and its close proximity to Sydney CBD, like many Sydneysiders, I have been to Hunter Valley a few times now.

Coorg-Bekal 2022

Coorg-Bekal 2022

After moving to Australia in Oct 2015, I did not do a great job of keeping in touch with my friends from India. Instagram and Facebook updates were good to keep tabs but only until I moved away from social media in 2021. So, when I visited India in 2022, the first time since 2018, I was not sure if/how I would catch up with any of my old school friends. Yash and I have one of those friendships where you only talk twice a year, but when you do, you pick up right where you left off. I guess that is how most friendships become after a decade of knowing each other 🤷‍♂️

Kaila Devi 2023

Kaila Devi 2023

Kaila Devi Temple is a Hindu temple situated in Kailadevi village of Karauli district, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. My family has worshiped goddess Kailadevi for more than five generations and there is a strong sense of faith and belief to date.

Bali 2023

Bali 2023

Holidays are great, especially in Bali. But, early morning flights are not. Waking up at 4.00 am was so grim that I briefly considered skipping the trip entirely. Mustering the energy to get out of bed seemed like an impossible task. It took a hot shower and an hour long drive to the airport to gather myself. Getting to the airport early came with some advantages though - plenty of time to go through security, shop at duty-free and get breakfast and coffee at the Centurion Lounge 😅 Not everyone was able to access the lounge and we had to split into two groups. While it was against the spirit of a boys trip (and turst me, there was a sense of guilt), it was hard not to enjoy the free coffee and breakfast 😉

Singapore 2022

Singapore 2022

This one is from the archives. It has been well over an year since I went to Singapore for the first time and I am still sweating from all that humidity! Or maybe it is because this is the first time I am writing about a trip that is somewhat different. Usually, I am either travelling for work or for holiday. This one ended up being a bit of both.

Tasmania 2022

Tasmania 2022

Tasmania is widely known for having the cleanest air in the world, beautiful scenery and unique wildlife. To cover Tassie’s best natural attractions, diverse wildlife, culture and art scene, I decided to do a road trip with my friends - Justin and Manmeet. When I was looking for ideas online, I came across Andrew's (thanks!) amazing itinerary and it was exactly what I wanted. It made planning for my trip much easier.

Adelaide 2022

Adelaide 2022

Lately, a lot of people have been asking me "What do you do in Adelaide?". I've been to Adelaide twice in the last two years and I've just booked my tickets for another trip soon. I figured maybe it is the right time to start recollecting my memories as I plan my upcoming visit and share my experience with y'all. When compared to the likes of Sydney or Melbourne, Adelaide is much smaller geographically. It is, however, densely filled with things to do. To me, it has the ideal mix of the buzzing city-life, the calm and peace of nature and the quiet neighbourhoods - all within a short drive and with very little traffic! The city is architected in a grid of streets which makes it MUCH easier to navigate.

Melbourne to Sydney - 2023

If you have not just landed here after reading the post about my Sydney to Melbourne Road Trip, I highly recommend starting there.

Sydney to Melbourne - 2023

Sydney to Melbourne - 2023

When I first drove from Sydney to Melbourne, in 2021, I did so in one day (9hr drive), sprinting through the motorway and only caught an occasional glimpse of the scenery. The fear of missing out on the beatiful landscapes became more real with each kilometer. However, I was on a time crunch and I told myself I'd do it right one day...
